Just got a tip from an old New York Times “After Deadline” column that tickled my fancy:
It’s a fine point, but since the sense of “year” is built into the word “anniversary,” phrases like “20-year anniversary” are redundant. Make it “20th anniversary.”
Nit-picky for sure, but that’s how I roll.
